The Captain Scott Corwin Foundation started our "Project 4" back in June, asking Division I college football teams to send one of their #4 jerseys for the 4th Squadron, 3rd ACR stationed in Iraq. We received jerseys from every major conference, teams from coast to coast.
The Captain Scott Corwin Foundation would like to thank everyone who sent a jersey for our "Project 4." You've all sent a clear message to our adopted unit, the 4th Squadron, 3rd Armored Calvary Regiment that you are truly on their team.
Thanks for taking the time to make our "Project 4" a big success and supporting our Troops. You have all reached out to someone who needed your support. You have helped an American Soldier today. The Foundation salutes all of you.

About Project "4"
The Captain Scott Corwin Foundation is proud to announce that our "Project 4" - #4 jerseys for the 4th Squadron 3rd ACR from Fort Hood stationed in Iraq - is underway. Letters recently went out to all 119 Division I college football teams asking them to send one of their schools #4 jerseys in support of our adopted unit, the 4th Squadron 3rd ACR.
"Project 4" duplicates "Project 92" of 2005, when the Corwin Foundation was known as the Captain Scott Corwin Memorial Fund and sent over sixty #92 jerseys to the 92nd Combat Engineer Battalion at Camp Liberty, Iraq. Captain Scott Corwin was the battalion engineer for the 92nd at the time of his death.
The aim of our "Project 4" is to show the men and women of the 4th Squadron 3rd ACR that they are supported by college and university football teams across the nation. We hope to have most of the jerseys there by the opening game of the 2008 college football season. "We have a lot of college football fans in our unit" Captain Ryan Kendall of the 4th Squadron recently told the Foundation from Iraq. "This will be great for our Soldiers here as we approach the 2008 season back home."
The Captain Scott Corwin Foundation hopes that all D-I schools will take part in our project by sending one of their teams jerseys. This will be a great morale booster for the Soldiers. Somewhere within the ranks of the 4th is a big fan of your football team. The Foundation will update the progress of this effort on our "Project 4" Page.
